Driver Dies in US 321 Crash in Jasper County

Sergeant Bob Beres with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says the driver of a Ford Focus died in a two vehicle collision on US 321 in Jasper County around 6:40 Friday night.

According to Beres, the Ford Focus was traveling south on US 321 about two miles north of Tillman, when the car crossed over the center line and struck a 2005 Toyota Camry head on.

The driver of the Camry, 27 year old Amanda Williams, was taken to Savannah Memorial with unknown injuries. A passenger in the Focus, 26 year old Virmany John was also taken to Savannah Memorial with unknown injuries.

Beres says the passenger and driver in the Focus were not wearing seatbelts.
