Hardball Capital Reiterates Interest in Keeping Sand Gnats in Savannah

The future of Savannah Sand Gnats baseball is "squarely on the shoulders of City Council," says Hardball Capital CEO Jason Freier.  He appeared before Savannah City Council Thursday afternoon to reiterate his interest in keeping the Sand Gnats in Savannah.  Freier says the building of a new stadium is "must" in the long term plans of the minor league franchise.

Freier added, "Grayson Stadium is not a long term solution".

Savannah City Council has agreed to submit a Request for Proposal.  This will enable companies and individuals to submit bids to put together a feasibility report which would outline everything that needs to be done and at what cost to build the team a new ballpark.
