An accomplice in a 2012 attempted armed robbery, who was convicted of murder for his part in the crime, was sentenced today.

Anthony Threatt Robinson, 39, was sentenced to life in prison without parole in Chatham County Superior Court.

Police say, Robinson and 35-year-old Benjamin Carter attempted to rob the Coastal Gold Exchange on Eisenhower Drive in September of 2012.  Carter was shot by the business owner and fled to the pickup driven by Robinson.  The truck then crashed into a home on Harmon Street.  Carter died a short time later.  Robinson was arrested after a foot chase, and charged with felony murder for his part in the crimes.
