Georgia Lottery Players Win Big in Powerball Drawing

ATLANTA, GA -

Check your Powerball tickets, Georgians! Even though the 425 million dollar jackpot ticket was sold in California, two 1 million dollar tickets and three 10,000 dollar tickets were bought in the Peach State. 

The winning numbers from Wednesday's Powerball drawing were 1-17-35-49-54 with a Powerball of 34.  The two lucky million dollar tickets were purchased at Quiktrip #0729, 2804 Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta and Discount Tobacco, 4224 Bloomfield Road in Macon.  The 10,000 dollar tickets were purchased at Corner College, 230 East Oglethorpe Boulevard in Albany, McTeer Food Mart, 4150 Windsor Spring Road in Hephzibah and Ocmulgee East Chevron, 4900 Ocmulgee East Boulevard in Macon.

Georgia winners, including the more than 77,000 who won prizes ranging from $4 to $300, have 180 days from yesterday to claim their prizes.

Proceeds from Powerball benefit education in the state of Georgia.
