The slow process of restoring power to South Carolinians left in the dark by last week's winter storm continues.
As of Wednesday morning, there were nearly 7,500 electric customers in the state still in the dark. That's down from the estimated 350,000 customers without power at the height of the storm.
Most of those still without power are served by the state's electric cooperatives.
About 2,500 of those are customers in Williamsburg County. About 1,300 are in Georgetown County.
South Carolina Electric & Gas reported Wednesday that only 200 of its customers were still in the dark.
