The Tattnall County Sheriff's Department says escaped inmate Chad Dasher has stolen an SUV from Long County. The vehicle is described as a 2004 Tan Chevrolet Silverado Extended cab truck. The GA Tag Number is "CV3226".

Sheriff's Deputies says the vehicle has a dented chrome bumper on the front and a diamond plated style tool box in the back of the truck bed. There are also deer tracks on both of the back windows.

The department says a resident says Dasher came to his home and spoke to him. Dasher was driving what is believed to be the stolen 2002 black Toyota Sequoia that was taken in New Hope, Alabama. That car has now been recovered.

The U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force says they are now offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Dasher.

Dasher escaped from the Tattnall County Jail on January 24th, when he executed an elaborate plan to breach jail security and escaped through the jail's roof.

Dasher was being held at the Tattnall County Jail on multiple charges for a multi-county crime spree that occurred in Georgia in 2012. Dasher is a 5'9" white male and weighs 140 pounds. He has green eyes and brown hair.

Any information pertaining to Dasher should be relayed to the Tattnall County Sheriff's Office at 912-557-6777 or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102.  Tips can also be emailed to usms.wanted@usdoj.gov. All information is confidential.
