Former Jenkins Basketball Star Shot and Killed

A graduate of Jenkins High School, 20-year-old Rashaad Spann was found shot inside a car on Hawaii Avenue in Savannah early Friday morning.  Spann was 3-AAAAA Region Player of the Year in 2011 when he was a junior.   His basketball performance was hampered by a knee injury during his senior year at Jenkins.

Police have arrested 20-year-old Fashad Kennedy for the crime.  No word yet on motive.
