Armstrong Athletic Cancellations for This Week

RELEASE FROM ARMSTRONG SPORTS COMMUNICATIONS:

Weather Postpones Armstrong Athletic Events For Tuesday Through Thursday

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Inclement weather over the next few days has forced the postponement of Armstrong's athletic events over the next three days. Baseball, men's and women's tennis as well as men's and women's basketball are affected by the latest winter storm to hit the Southeast.

Armstrong baseball's scheduled 2:00 p.m. game against Claflin for today has been tentatively pushed back to Tuesday, February 25th, at 2:00 p.m. at Pirate Field.

The Armstrong men's and women's tennis dual matches scheduled for the next two days have also been postponed. The Pirates' scheduled Wednesday match against Georgia College will now tentatively be played on Wednesday, February 26th, at 1:00 p.m. at Bacon Park.

Thursday's scheduled dual match against USC Aiken - already rescheduled from the previous winter storm on Feb. 5 - will now tentatively be played on Wedneday, March 5, at 2:00 p.m. at Bacon Park.

Finally, due to travel concerns coming from Greenwood, S.C., the Armstrong men's and women's basketball Peach Belt doubleheader with Lander scheduled for Wednesday evening at Alumni Arena has been postponed. The two schools are currently working towards a makeup date.
