Local Family Starts Business Turning Blocks Into Learning Tools

Attention Georgia and South Carolina there is a new, and fun educational enrichment program now available to children in our area.

Bricks 4 Kidz is a worldwide, creative learning program that teaches elementary school aged children concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) using LEGO® components such as bricks, gears, motors, and axles. The classes are run through after school enrichment programs in area schools, evening classes and summer camps in various locations and centers.

The models built in a Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO® Lab are not like the LEGO® models built from a kit bought at your typical toy store. Most Bricks 4 Kidz models are actual working machines that utilize motors, gears, and axles. All the models and lesson plans are unique to Bricks 4 Kidz.

Designed by teachers, architects and engineering professionals, the lessons in a Bricks 4 Kidz class help students build problem solving and critical thinking skills and foster creativity and innovation.

Bricks 4 Kidz is currently working with Okatie Elementary School, Riverview Charter School, YMCA of Beaufort County, Beaufort Academy, Project Homeschool, New Island Playground and Monkey Joes.

Christina Murphy, Bricks 4 Kidz® Franchise Owner and Director, is in the process of contacting schools and community centers now to tell them about this great new program. For more information about Bricks 4 Kidz, please email: cmurphy@bricks4kidz.com or call 912-441-8462 in Georgia or 843-298-1310 in South Carolina.
