Today's Black History Moment with Jamal Toure', owner/operator of Day Clean Tours: Fredericka Law

Were there Catholic nuns of African descent in Europe during the 1800s and early 1900s? Yes. In fact one was from Savannah, GA. Fredericka Law received the habit of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters of. the Immaculate Conception at the Shrine of Portiuncula in Assisi, Italy in 1882. She took the name Sister Benedict of the Angels.
