What it takes to pull off the Puppy Bowl

Posted: Updated:
U.S. - As the Super Bowl approaches so do all the traditions that go with it.

One of them involves a bunch of puppies.  We are of course talking about the annual Puppy Bowl that runs counter to the Super Bowl every year.  The 66 4-legged players are split into teams based on diversity, different breeds, and sizes.

The crew says a lot of work goes into putting on the show.

"There is a lot of pre-production that goes into it,” said Melinda Toporoff, Executive Producer of The Puppy Bowl.  “You know, we have over 21 cameras this year, 10 of those are GoPros.  We're going to be recording over 100 hours worth of footage."

All of the dogs come from animal shelters and the show offers ways to adopt them.  Millions are expected to watch the Puppy Bowl on Sunday.
