SPRING LAKE, N.C. -

A dramatic showdown at a Harnett County mobile home ended with sheriff's deputies disabling and ramming a man's car as he tried to flee.

Bradley Campbell, 22, of Lillington was charged with attempted murder, five counts of first-degree kidnapping and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The sheriff's office said that at around 1:45 a.m. on Friday, they received a 911 call about a burglary and domestic situation.

Deputies rushed to a single-wide mobile home located at 28 Kelly Creek Street in Spring Lake.

There, they were told there was a gunshot victim, 18-year-old Mark Simon of Coats, and two children in the mobile home.

Simon was released at 6:23 a.m. and taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital.

A 6-year-old child was released at 8:15 a.m. and a 2-year-old child at 8:23 a.m.

A standoff with Campbell followed, and he started to flee, authorities said. His car tires were disabled and one deputy's car rammed into Campbell's car.
