Bluffton Police tell News 3 at approximately 9:30 P.M. Wednesday night officers received a call about a man with a gunshot wound on Geothe Road. Officers met with Thomas Morris Bush who reported he was walking along Shultz Road towards Goethe Road a black car pulled alongside him and someone inside started shooting at him. Mr. Bush received one gunshot to the lower leg and was transported by EMS for medical treatment.

Police say further investigation revealed the shooting happened in front of Mr. Bush's residence at 83 Shultz Road. The investigation indicates Mr. Bush was on the porch when a black vehicle, described as possibly a Mercedes, approached with its headlights turned off. When they reached Mr. Bush's residence an occupant on the passenger side of the vehicle began firing. Evidence at the scene indicates fire was returned from the porch or front yard.

A search inside of the residence for projectiles and other evidence led to the discovery of cocaine.
