WILSON MILLS, N.C. -

A school bus collided with a tractor-trailer early Wednesday morning near Clayton sending 13 people to the hospital. Eleven children, the school bus driver as well as the tractor-trailer driver were all injured.  Information on their conditions were not released but it was indicated by authorities no one was seriously hurt.

Bus 63 was on the way to Smithfield Middle School when it had reportedly stopped to pick up children on U.S. 70 east of Highway 42 in Johnston County. That's when the tractor trailer collided with the bus.  Officials indicate fog was a factor in the crash.

Twelve students were on board at the time of the incident.  U.S. 70 East was closed for about an hour while crews investigated the wreck.
