Second Suspect Sought in Bluffton Jewelry Store Theft

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. -

A woman is in custody and now Beaufort County Deputies are looking for her boyfriend in connection with the theft of about $10,000 worth of jewelry over the weekend from a Bluffton store.

Investigators say Margot Carol Tennant, 22, was with her boyfriend Jason Grant Williams, 29, and their four-month-old during a trip last Saturday to the S.C. Gold and Silver Buyers on Fording Island Road. The store manager says Tennant was a frequent customer who  exchanged silver for cash. However, this last time he says she asked about a piece of jewelry, then ran out of the store with minutes later with a display case.

Tuesday morning deputies arrested Tennant on one count of Grand Larceny and Child Neglect. Investigators are still searching for Williams, who is wanted on the same charges.

The Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl. D. Nelson at 843-255-3412 or Crimestoppers.
