SSU Wins on the WSAV Blitz Basketball Series

Savannah State University's men's basketball opened up Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play with a 66-42 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on the WSAV Blitz Basketball Series debut.

The Tigers Jyles Smith led the team defensively and Jeremiah Hill scored a team-high 17 points to lead SSU to the win in their MEAC opener.

Smith had 13 rebounds and 6 blocked shots and 4 points in 36 minutes of play.  Joshua Montgomery netted 11 points.

WSAV televised the game on MyLC from pregame to postgame with Sports Director Ken Slats and Sports Radio's Seth Harp calling the action.
