School Closings due to extreme weather conditions

SAVANNAH, GA -

School closings for our area are starting to come in due to the extreme weather conditions in our forecast for tomorrow. 

At this point, most school districts appear to be on a regular schedule with the exceptions noted below.

Colleton & Hampton County Schools on a 2 hour delay for Tuesday, January 7th.

David Emanuel Academy in Emanuel County will be closed Tuesday, January 7th.  The basketball games scheduled for then will be rescheduled.  There will be no basketball practices today (Jan. 6th) or tomorrow (Jan. 7th). School will open one hour later on Wednesday, January 8th.  Please plan to have your children at school around 9:15 on Wednesday. The school buses will pick up at their usual stops -- but one hour later than usual. 

Bacon County Schools have canceled classes for tomorrow (Tuesday)
