Grand jury to review Eufaula police-involved shooting

Posted: Updated:
The Eufaula Tribune is reporting a grand jury will convene February 24, 2014 during which time it will determine whether charges should be brought against the Eufaula police officers involved in the October 15 fatal shooting of Cameron Massey. The grand jury could last three or four days.

District Attorney Ben Reeves Jr. told the newspaper his office will present evidence gathered by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation on the Massey shooting to a grand jury. Reeves received the report from the ABI on December 23. The report includes approximately 250 pages of evidence, witness statements and more than 100 photos gathered by the ABI, according to the Eufaula Tribune.

Massey was shot and killed during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 431 in Eufaula.
