Auburn practices indoors on Saturday

Posted: Updated:
AUBURN, Ala. -

The Auburn Tigers were back on the practice field Saturday night.

Head coach Gus Malzahn said the team was forced inside due to wet weather conditions in Auburn, but the team was still able to hold a normal workout.

With nine days remaining until the BCS National Championship Game against Florida State, Malzahn said he's pleased with how his team has come back from Christmas.

"Our guys have been back from Christmas for three days," he said. "I've been very impressed with their focus, their attention to detail. They've been excited about practicing, excited about getting better, which is very encouraging, especially when the game is nine days away. Overall, [I'm] real pleased with our guys and where we're at right now."

Auburn's first appearance in Pasadena is Dec. 31.
