BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) -

Virginia State Police Trooper Philip Battel said around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday Adam Tabor, 22, Bristol, Tenn., was driving south on King Mill Pike, near Sinking Creek Road, when he veered off the road into some loose gravel, lost control and crossed into the northbound lane where his vehicle broadsided another car driven by Joseph Boyd, 25, Abingdon, Va.

Battel said Tabor was partially ejected from his car. Both men were taken to area hospitals and were in stable condition later Wednesday night.

Contributing factors in the crash could have been speed and partially bald tires on Tabor’s car.

Battel said no drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash.
