Posted: Updated:

A Rincon man is in jail, charged after firearms were stolen from an Effingham County home.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a burglary call just past 7 p.m. Christmas Eve at a home on Goshen Drive. Shortly after their arrival, they cornered 29-year-old Anthony Sapp in a wooded area across from the Jamestown Subdivision. News Three is told that deputies tasered Sapp and took him into custody after he resisted arrest.

Sapp is currently being held in the Effingham County Jail, charged with burglary, theft by taking, and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
