PIEDMONT, SC -

Two SC women were charged Friday after a suspect recently released from prison was killed after an attempted home invasion and shooting in Anderson County just before Christmas.

The incident happened on Dec 23 at a home on Wren Road, near Moore Road, in Piedmont around 6:45 p.m.

According to Lt. Sheila Cole of the sheriff's office, a man attempted to break into a home and in doing so shot the 78-year-old homeowner in the abdomen. The homeowner managed to return fire and struck the suspect as he was fleeing the scene in a black SUV.

Now, 40-year-old Stephanie Robinson was arrested and charged with attempted murder, kidnapping and attempted armed robbery. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says Robinson was with Rahim Shakur, who died,  when he attempted to break into a home on Wren Road.

After the victim was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital, the suspect showed up at the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officials say Robinson drove Shakur to another friend in Greenville County, 34-year-old Angela Rogers. They say Rogers then drove Shakur to the hospital where he died.

Rogers is charged with accessory after the fact.

Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said that the suspect, Rahim Shakur, died at the hospital.

The homeowner victim went into surgery and was in stable condition just after the incident.

Investigators say Shakur was just released from prison after serving 13 years for a shooting and carjacking incident.

Shakur had a profile on an "inmate classified" website, where incarcerated men try to meet women.

It's unclear if he met Robinson and Rogers from his various classified ads from prison.

"I am a very good listener, I'm caring, honest, intelligent, respectful, patient, affectionate, humorous, spontaneous, and yes, I still believe in chivalry! I dislike liars, loud and obnoxious people," he wrote on his profile.

"I enjoy reading, playing chess, good conversation, staying in shape, and listening to Jazz, Reggae, R&B music."
