What Has Happened to Siberia?

Siberia is known for being cold, but not now.  There's barely any snow.

The harsh east Russian region is normally covered in a thick layer of the white stuff.

In the past few weeks, many have seen temperatures hovering well above zero.  It's normally well below negative.  Also, instead of snow, the area has seen unusually long spells of heavy rain.

Most locals say they have never experienced a December so warm.

So many of the local are making the most of it.  They have even stripped down to their swim suits to pose for pictures.

This unusual weather pattern is the latest in a long line of strange weather events this year including hail falling in Cairo and snow falling in Israel, Syria and Jordan.

Last month was the warmest November on record worldwide since records began in 1880.
