A Clayton woman is charged with driving while impaired after she ran into the back of a police car this weekend.

Police say 22-year-old Charae Chantel Wallace is charged with driving while impaired, failure to reduce speed, and failing to heed blue lights and siren after she drove into the back of a police cruiser Saturday morning.

Police say the cruiser was parked with its emergency lights flashing and siren on when Wallace ran into the back of the car.

The officer suffered minor injuries.
