Jasper County Names New Athletics Director

RELEASE FROM THE JASPER COUNTY BOARD OF TRUSTREES:

 

The Jasper County School District Board of Trustees recently approved the recommendation to hire a new Athletic Director for the district.

Michael K. Jordan, Jr. was approved to serve as the new athletic director. Mr. Jordan has served as the Athletic Director/Head Football Coach at Denmark-Olar High School for the past three years. He was also named Class A Region 4 Athletic Director of the Year in 2011-2012. Jordan has an extensive football background with 24 years of football coaching experience. He led Denmark-Olar High School to the playoffs for three years in a row, with his teams advancing to the second round in 2010 and 2012.

Jordan is a 1986 graduate of Livingstone College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and also holds a Masters Degree in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. Jordan is married to Felicia E. Jordan and the couple has one son, Darren M. Jordan, a Junior at North Carolina Central University.
