Opelika man shot and killed at Auburn bar

AUBURN, Ala. - An Opelika man was shot and killed early Sunday morning at Jackie Lee's bar in Auburn. 

Officers responded to a report of shots fired at about 2:15 a.m. at the sports bar located at 2514 South College Street. Officers located two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Both men were transported to East Alabama Medical Center. A third male victim was admitted to the hospital with gunshot wounds after driving himself to the hospital.

One of the victims, Marquez J. Patrick, 20, of Opelika, died at the hospital as a result of the gunshot wounds. The other victims, a 22-year old from Auburn and a 19-year old from Lochapoka were treated for non-life threatening injuries and released on Sunday.

The case remains under investigation by the Auburn Police Department.
