Greenville Waffle House robbed

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Greenville police tell 9 On Your Side they were called to the Waffle House restaurant on Greenville Blvd. around 1:00 Wednesday  morning for a report of an armed robbery.

Employees tell police two black males entered the restaurant with handguns and demanded money. The suspects left the building with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A K-9 unit was able to track the suspects but lost the scent where officers believe a getaway vehicle may have been parked. Evidence was collected at the scene and has been submitted to forensics. The incident is still under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pitt-Greenville Crime stoppers.
