Police: Johnson City ATM burglary suspects arrested

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -

The two men connected to trying break into two ATM machines have been arrested.

Johnson City Police say 18-year-old Dakota Gibson of Bristol, TN and 19-year-old Tyler Henderson of Bluff City, TN were arrested and charged with one count of burglary and one count of attempted burglary.

An arraignment date for both Gibson and Henderson is set for Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.

The two men allegedly damaged ATM machines at First Tennessee Bank located on North Roan Street and the Andrew Johnson Bank on Browns Mill Road.

The vandalism was caught on video on each of the bank’s surveillance systems.

The Johnson City Police Department needs your help locating two men who tried to break into two ATM machines in order steal money from them.

Investigators were able to obtain images of the men from the ATM at First Tennessee Bank on North Roan Street and the ATM at the Andrew Johnson Bank on Browns Mill Road.

The suspects appeared to be driving an early 2000 model white Dodge Caravan with grayish-black bumpers.

Both of the machines have extensive damages from the break-in attempts.
