DURHAM, N.C. -

Police have questioned a person of interest in connection with an attempted shooting at North Carolina Central University last month, however a suspect has not been named.

NCCU's campus was placed on lockdown Nov. 21 after receiving reports of a firearm being discharged on Concord and Lawson streets.

Police said the suspect or suspects fired at an intended victim and then fled the scene in a champagne-colored four-door Chevrolet Impala.

Police did not identify the person of interest who was questioned.

NCCU police initially named Crandall Ingram as a suspect in the attempted shooting, but later called him a person of interest after questioning the intended victim and witnesses.

The NCCU Police Department is currently seeking further information and assistance in identifying the suspect's vehicle.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Investigator Cheryl Geiger at (919) 530-6814, or CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200.
