Posted: Updated:

STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) - D.J. Mason scored 20 points and Quinton Ray scored a game-winning lay up Saturday night as Campbell deflected a Georgia Southern rally to win 75-73 in overtime.

Kyre' Hamer scored 15 for Campbell (4-3), Ryan Andrew had 14, including four 3-pointers, and Leek Leek added 10.

Jelani Hewitt scored a game-high 38 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Georgia Southern (3-5), and Tre Bussey scored 19.

Campbell led 34-29 at halftime, but the Eagles rallied, and Bussey tied it at 62 with a 3-pointer at the end of regulation.

Mason hit two jumpers, a layup and a dunk in OT to give Campbell a 73-69 lead, but Hewitt made four free throws to tie it at 73. Bussey hauled in a defensive rebound and the Eagles had a chance to win, but Ray stole the ball and made a lay up at the buzzer, his only points of the night.
