STATESBORO, GA -

The Statesboro Police Department, with assistance from other agencies, arrested a man for several burglaries throughout Statesboro.

29-year-old Darrell Demond Hunter was arrested in Claxton Wednesday and charged with 4 burglaries.

Investigators say he broke into the Amaco Gas Station on North Main Street, the Farmer's and Merchants Bank on North Main Street, the Heritage Bank of the South on South Main Street, and the Sea Island Bank on South Main Street

On the day before Thanksgiving the Statesboro Police Department received forensic evidence from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation lab that connected Hunter to the Farmer's and Merchants burglary.
