Clayton police searching for two men wanted for larcenies

CLAYTON, N.C. -

Clayton police are searching for two men said to be responsible for a series of break-ins.

Kweisi Saku McDougal Garland, 19, of 232 Mitchell Ave. and Lawrence Gregory Hunter, 34, of 411 East Hinton Street, both in Clayton are wanted for stealing items such as televisions, laptops, video game systems, jewelry and musical instruments starting Oct. 20., the Town of Clayton said.

Garland faces one count of felony breaking and entering, one count larceny after breaking and entering and one count of obtain property false pretense.

Hunter faces four counts of felony breaking and entering, four counts of larceny after breaking and entering, and one count of obtain property false pretense.  

The Town of Clayton said the following addresses had items stolen:

  • 312 Hinton Street - Oct. 20
  • 1025 Cove Circle - Nov. 8
  • 2 Cheltenham Drive – Nov. 12
  • 47 Cheltenham Drive – Nov. 12
  • 404 Matthews Circle – Nov. 14
