Garden City Police Get K9 Help in Search for Missing Man

Garden City Police are taking no chances as they search for a missing man.

Was he taken by force or has he simply run off? They're hoping the search will bring answers.

There are two problems ; not only is the man missing and possibly hurt or dead, but he's also now a wanted man, and needs to be brought in. Police find that they need to eliminate the possibilities one at a time. So the first thing they do Friday morning is bring in a private cadaver dog team. These dogs are trained specifically to locate dead bodies. It's not clear whether the man is dead, but his mother and family members were concerned, so police decided to do a process of elimination. The dogs searched about a five hundred yard portion of unincorporated Chatham County. They didn't find a body, so the search continues. Police are searching for 21 year old Joshua Burnsed.  Now that the search with the cadaver dogs has come up empty, police are free to follow up a number of other tips and leads, one of which they believe will lead them to the missing Burnsed.
