Bloomingdale Woman Charged After Standoff

Posted: Updated:
SAVANNAH, GA -

A Bloomingdale woman has been charged with terroristic threats and simple battery after police locked down her neighborhood to talk her out of her residence Saturday.

Stacy Swindell, 41, was charged after surrendering to a Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Hostage Negotiation Team (HNT) negotiator on Hollow Oak Drive about 3:30 p.m.

Police say she had threatened members of her family and herself before barricading herself in the residence. Fort Argyle Road was closed to traffic for about 30 minutes during the standoff to avoid injuries to others.
