UPDATE: Missing Georgia child has been found safe

UPDATE: (AP)- Atlanta police say a missing toddler who was the subject of a missing child alert has been found safe.

Police said in a statement shortly after 7 a.m. Friday that 2-year-old Guadalupe Aguayo was found near the intersection of the Downtown Connector and Interstate 20.

ORIGINAL STORY: (AP)- Atlanta police have issued an Amber Alert as they search for a missing toddler.

Ramon Aguaya told police that he left his 2-year-old child, Guadalupe Aguayo, with his roommate's girlfriend.

Police say that when the father and the roommate returned to the residence at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, the child and the girlfriend were not at the location. The roommate's 1996 Ford Ranger was also missing from the location.

Guadalupe Aguayo was last seen wearing a black and white pair of pants and shirt.
