GOLDSBORO, N.C. - A second man wanted for a Goldsboro murder has turned himself in.

On Sunday, 29-year-old Lester Clinton Jr. surrendered himself in connection with the shooting death of 35-year-old  Alton Leevon Fields Jr. Arrest warrants charge him with murder. He's in the Wayne County Jail under no bond.

Police already arrested 27-year-old James D ‘Angelo Raye after responding to a domestic call. He was charged with possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and a OFA/FTA for Second Degree Trespassing.

Prior to Raye’s arrest, he’d been developed as a suspect in the death of 35-year-old Alton Leevon Fields Jr., who was shot inside his Devereaux Street residence back on October 15. Fields was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital where was pronounced dead.

Raye was subsequently charged with an open count of murder.  He’s in the Wayne County Jail under no bond.
