WAUWATOSA, WI -

A man has been hospitalized after a police-involved shooting at a Wisconsin children hospital, according to local law enforcement.

The man, whose identity was not publicly available, was inside the hospital and holding a baby when officers arrived. Law enforcement, who had an arrest warrant for the man, were intending to arrest the individual. As officers approached, the man put down the baby and ran down a hallway.

Officers followed and the man produced a handgun, local law enforcement say. Officers fired at the man, who is now being treated for his injuries. His condition was not immediately known. No one else - including officers, the baby or hospital personnel, were injured in the shooting.
