Police Urge Rock n' Roll Runners to Pick up Packets Early, Avoid Traffic Trouble

SAVANNAH, GA -

Heads up: If you're registered for this weekend's Rock n' Roll Marathon, police are asking that you pick up your packet from the Health and Fitness Expo at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center as soon as possible today.

According to Savannah-Chatham Metro Police spokesperson, Julian Miller, thousands of runners still need to be served- which could lead to major traffic problems this afternoon.

Access to the center is limited to the Talmadge Bridge and water taxis so very long lines are anticipated, including access to the bridge.

Competitor Group staff will be at the entrances to the Convention Center parking lots directing traffic to alternate parking should it be necessary.
