STATESBORO, GA -

A Statesboro man is being held without bond after Investigators say he tried to break into a home.     Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputies were called to a residence in the 3000 block of Mill Creek Road in Statesboro just after eleven am Wednesday in response to a burglary alarm.

Investigators  talked to a neighbor who says they saw a man walking away from  the home where the alarm was activated.   After a short search Deputies say they found Richard Gordon Willis hiding in an abandoned mobile home in a wooded area nearby.   Willis was taken into custody and charged with Attempt to Commit Burglary, Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime and Criminal Trespass.

Investigators say he has an extensive theft and drug history in several states throughout the Southeast.
