Congressman Barrow accepting holiday cards for troops

Posted: Updated:
STATESBORO, GA -

Congressman John Barrow is preparing for the holidays by accepting holiday cards for our men and women in uniform.  Each year, Congressman Barrow collects the cards from 12th district residents and delivers them to troops at one of our military hospitals.  Last years program yielded hundreds of holiday cards for injured members of the military at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

"For those who have given so much for their country, spending the holidays away from their family is probably not what they'd choose," said Congressman Barrow.  "One of the highlights of my year is to deliver these holiday cards to them and to visit with them during the holidays.  I hope folks throughout the 12th District will join me in sending holiday greetings to these service members, and thanking them for their service."

The cards can be delivered to any of Congressman Barrow's district offices in Augusta, Statesboro, Dublin, Douglas or Vidalia.  Please note: the holiday cards placed in envelopes should not be sealed.
