COLUMBUS, Ga. -

A small gas leak at Cusseta Road Elementary School in Columbus is under control and students and staff are returning to classes, Muscogee schools spokesperson Valerie Fuller says.

"A hot water heater had a small leak and a small control box in the kitchen has been shut off," Fuller says. "Students and staff are moving back to the classrooms while the gas is shut off and the water heater is in the process of being repaired."

The fire department and gas company were both at the school this morning. There were no reported injuries.
