UPDATE: Victims in Boating Accident Identified

CHATHAM COUNTY, GA -

Officials with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources say the two victims in Thursday's boat accident are as 58-year-old Billy Carter and 59-year-old Randy Boatright.  Both are from Savannah

Investigators say the two were riding in a 17 foot Carolina Skiff when they appeared to hit a dock.  Both men suffered head trauma and were killed.

The Savannah Chatham Metro Aviation unit discovered the boat around 3pm.  DNR says the accident is suspected to have happened earlier Thursday morning.

The Department of Natural Resources continues to investigate.
