Savannah High's Qua'Ron Hilliard Commits to Savannah State

Savannah High defensive end Qua'Ron Hilliard has verbally committed to Savannah State University.  Hilliard is a 6'5", 240 lineman on both sides of the ball for the Blue Jackets.  The Tigers recruited him for the defensive side.

"He's a big, athletic kid that can control the end... keep the play in the middle." says SHS head coach Tim Jordan.  "He's got a great opportunity to play at home... and besides his coach went there," teases Jordan, who played at Savannah State College.

Jordan says Hilliard is closer to 250 and if he can put on some more weight he could be a force on the outside.

Early this week Jordan confirms Jamal Norman verbally committed to Savannah State University for basketball.  (First reported by Dennis Knight of the Savannah Morning News).  Jordan says the Tigers are also interested in Norman to possibly play football.
