Cabela's outdoor store to open in Garner, bring 225 jobs

GARNER, N.C. -

Cabela's Incorporated announced Thursday plans to bring the hunting, fishing and outdoor gear retailer to Garner. This location will be Cabela's first in the state.

Construction of the 100,000 square-foot store is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2014 with a planned opening in the spring of 2015.

The company announced that the store is expect to employ approximately 225 full-time, part-time and seasonal employees.

The inside of the store will feature wildlife displays, a built-in aquarium, indoor archery range, boat shop, gun library, bargain section and a fudge shop.

The store will be located in the northwest section of I-40 and U.S. Highway 70.
