NC Walmart shuts down when large buck gets inside

Posted: Updated:
GOLDSBORO, NC -

An unlikely shopper stopped by a local Walmart Saturday night.

A deer ended up in the Subway restaurant inside the store on N. Spence Avenue in Goldsboro.

Employees said the 8-point buck was in the store for about an hour, during which time the store was closed.

In video on YouTube, a Subway worker can be seen looking over the counter at the deer, which knocked over several chairs.

Wildlife Officers were called and were able to get the deer safely out of the store by giving it a tranquilizer shot.
