Columbus police looking for armed robber

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, Ga. - Columbus police are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect caught on camera.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. Friday, the man entered the Circle K at 3010 Buena Vista Road, police say. The man, caught on surveillance camera, was armed with a knife.

The suspect is described as a black male with light complexion, between 25 and 30 years old, about five feet 8 inches tall with a slim build and goatee. He was wearing a white tee shirt with a black and white scarf or bandana draped over his neck. He was also wearing blue jeans and gray shoes.

If anyone has information about the identity or whereabouts of the man, they are asked to call the Columbus Police Department's Investigative Services and Robbery-Homicide Division at 706-653-3400. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and police say he should not be approached.
