Two suspects are in custody after a witness tipped off Metro Police during a county-wide surveillance operation Wednesday.

Tuesday, the witness called Island Precinct officers after seeing a male run out of a home on the 1400 block of Dale Drive, get into a Toyota Sonata, and drive away. Responding officers confirmed that a window had been broken at the home.

The witness called police again on Wednesday about 4 p.m. after spotting that same car on Abercorn Street. Officers followed the car to the Hampton Place subdivision off of Quacco Road and arrested the driver and passenger.

Dominick Bernard Coney, 17, was later identified as the suspect in the Tuesday burglary. He is charged with burglary, possession of a drug-related object and possession of marijuana.

Orinthus Lenard Harding, 19, was also charged with possession of marijuana.
