Chatham County Sheriff Al St Lawrence recognized two K-9 Officers in a retirement ceremony specially for them. The K-9's don't have to work the same number of years their human partners have to work in order to retire, but have given most of their lives in service to the department.
Aldo is an eight year old black lab assigned to Deputy Livie to work with explosives. After retirement he will go home with the deputy.
Briston is a 10 year old Belgian malinois and was assigned to Lieutenant Salas to work with narcotics. He will also go home with Lt. Salas after retirement.
