Authorities Identify Man Killed in Fatal Crash

Effingham County authorities say they now know the identity of a man killed in a one vehicle crash on Saturday. A spokesman for the Sheriff's Office says that man is 33 year old Michael Lee Myers of Mosheim, Tennessee.  They say he was pronounced dead at Memorial Health University Medical Center shortly after he crashed his dirt bike.  "Deputies arrived on the scene where they located an adult male unconscious suffering from injuries sustained on a dirt bike crash," Sheriff's spokesman David Ehsanipoor said. "There is no indication any other vehicles or ATV's were involved but the investigation is ongoing by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office,"

Myers was active duty in the United States Army. The GBI Crime Lab will perform an autopsy on Myers on Monday.
