Update: fifth suspect arrested in David Scott murder case

COLUMBUS, Ga. -

The fifth suspect wanted in connection with the murder of David Scott has been arrested.

Twenty-year-old Donald Fair turned himself into police Sunday afternoon around 5 p.m. Fair was named as a suspect on Friday.

Scott was killed Sept. 19 after being shot in the head on 7th Street.

Four men appeared in court last Friday on charges related to the murder. Tyrecquiss Shaewaun Wells and Jayln Trevonta Dixon were arrested last Tuesday. Christopher Whitaker and Christopher Pender were announced as suspects Friday when they were formally charged in court. Pender remains hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound sustained during the killing of Scott.

Police said the suspects fired 30 shots at Scott while he drove his car near Coolidge Avenue.
